Dental Hygenists are especially knowledgeable about the preventive aspects of dental disease. It’s an especially relevant career as people are living longer and keeping more of their own teeth. In TSTC's Dental Hygiene program, you'll be educated in the basic sciences and development of the clinical skills needed to provide preventive dental care to the public.
TSTC Associate of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene is the only dental hygiene program south of Corpus Christi that is fully accredited by the American Dental Association's Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA).
The program in dental hygiene is accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation and has been granted the accreditation status of “approval without reporting requirements." The Commission is a specialized accrediting body recognized by the United States Department of Education.
