TSI Exemptions

TSIA EXEMPTIONS

Please submit your test scores or official transcript to the Enrollment Center to be qualified for an exemption. If you have taken the TSIA / TSIA2 at another institution, please sign and fill the Authorization for the Release of TSIA/TSIA2 Scores consent form to authorize the Testing Center to access your score report.

You may be exempt if you:

• Have met the minimum college readiness standard on SAT®, ACT, TAKS or STAAR (see chart below);

• Have successfully completed a college preparatory course in high school

• Have met the TSI requirements at another accredited higher education institution based on successfully completed college-level or developmental course work;

• Have an associate or baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution

• Have enrolled in a Level-One certificate program (fewer than 43 semester credit hours)

• Are not seeking a degree; or

• Have been, or currently are, in the military
