Texas State Technical College Internships and Co-ops

Guarantee Your Future Workforce

Internship and co-operative (co-op) opportunities are a great way for you to bring Texas State Technical College (TSTC) students to your company to evaluate their potential as future employees. There is no better way to guarantee your future workforce. Many of our programs look for internship opportunities (paid or unpaid) each semester to help our students gain valuable, real-world industry experience while applying the skills they've learned in the classroom.

Internship vs. Co-op

Internships can be either paid or unpaid and are usually conducted while the student is still attending regular classes. Internships give students a chance to make observations and apply the skills they've learned in a real-world working environment.

Co-operatives (co-op) are paid and usually require the students to take a semester off from classes to complete the co-op. A co-op is much more focused and intensive, concentrating on the application of skills as well as additional on-the-job training.

NOTE: Every college, including Texas State Technical College, uses these terms interchangeably. Please clarify with the program which term they use.

Additionally, each TSTC campus handles internships and co-ops differently. To discuss potential opportunities with your company, please contact your local TSTC Career Services Director.
