Course Description and Objectives:  Course will cover fundamentals of electricity and electronics with a focus on electro-mechanical devices, switches, and relays used in robotic systems. Upon completion of this course students will be able to:

  • Possess knowledge of basic electronics.
  • Practice electrical safety (Lockout /Tagout, and high voltage safety).
  • Ability to use meters and electronic test equipment.
  • Ability to solder and inspect solder joints.
  • Ability to test and replace faulty components.
  • Upon passing the course (70%) each student will receive a certificate of completion.
