Student Leadership Academy at Texas State Technical College

The department of Student Life and Engagement at Texas State Technical College (TSTC) would like to invite all students to join the Student Leadership Academy (SLA). The purpose of the SLA is to instill in students relevant skills and knowledge that are essential to the achievement of excellence in leadership.  

In order to achieve this, the department of Student Life and Engagement hosts workshops and conferences, on a variety of topics, that students will be required to attend. An academy degree plan (with core and elective workshops) will be issued to the students participating in the SLA to help them track the required sessions they must attend/have attended. An example of some of the sessions offered include, but are not limited to, the TSTC Business Wear Fashion Show, Servant Leadership, Public Speaking 101 and the Student Leadership Conference.

Those who complete the academy degree plan may receive recognition at the Student Leadership banquet. Inclusively, they may receive a certificate and pin, recognition on the commencement program and ceremony, and more!
